Within 10 days of the first sale of a cosmetic product sold in Canada, a Cosmetic Notification Form must be submitted to Health Canada, as required by sections 10 and 30 of the Cosmetic Regulations of the Food and Drugs Act. This notification does not remove the onus on the manufacturer that the cosmetic product meets the requirements of the Food and Drugs Act and Cosmetic Regulations.
