The Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) requires that "new substances" be notified under the revised New Substances Notification Regulations (NSN) before import or manufacture. New substances are ones that do not appear on the Domestic Susbtance Listance (DSL), with a number of exemptions, or have been "flagged" on the DSL.
