National Regulations Governing Labels:

In Australia the labeling standards for most hazardous consumer products are found under the Poison Standard 2008 (Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Drugs and Poisons No. 23).

GHS Implementation Status:

For workplace chemicals, the Model code of practice – Labeling Workplace Hazardous Chemicals is to be used for chemicals that have been classified according the UN GHS standards. This code will become mandatory after December 31, 2016.
