Label Type:
Jurisdiction:
National Regulations Governing Labels:

In China the standard that governs chemical consumer and workplace labels is GB 13690-2009 – General rules for classification and hazard communication of chemicals. GB 15258-2009 – General Rules for the preparation of precautionary label for chemicals goes into more detail about label requirements – specifically the compiling, preparation and application of chemical labels.

Additional Regulations:

In China the labeling requirements for Agrochemicals, Biocides, disinfectants and cosmetics are regulated under other legislation.

Please note that while the regulations for consumer and industrial labels are the same, the concerns of industry and individual consumers may differ. To find the latest consumer protection news, policies, regulations and educational material please refer to the State Administration for Industry & Commerce of the People’s Republic of China Consumer Protection Bureau.
