The responsibility of Thailand’s chemical regulation falls under the Ministry of Industry. Thailand’s Ministry of Industry recently published Hazard Classification and Communication System of Hazardous Substances B.E. 2555 (2012). This recent notification adopts the UN GHS based on the third revised edition, and sets out guidelines for Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring.

Thailand MSDS and SDS Authoring Thailand has adopted the UN GHS system, and it is currently being implemented according to published Hazard Classification and Communication System of Hazardous Substances B.E. 2555 (2012). There is a transition period for single substances until March 12, 2013, and a 5 year transition for mixtures until March 13, 2017.
