Nov. 17 - REACH: Indonesia imposes new regulation on chemical products to EU

Posted Date:
Monday, November 17, 2008

Indonesia is requiring their exports to pre-register for REACH, according to this article:

The Indonesian Trade Ministry required exporters and producers to pre-register chemical products and other industry-related goods exporting to European Union (EU) markets, an official said.

"If Indonesian exporters don't do that, they can not export the products. The regulation will be effective starting Dec. 1," Partogi Pangaribuan, head of chemistry and mining directorate of the ministry told Xinhua by phone on Saturday.

EU imposed a new regulation on foreign exporters, requiring them to follow procedural registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemical products (REACH) under the European Chemical Agency (ECHA).

Testimonial

We help US and International clients prepare their chemical packaging labeling for marketing success in Canada. It has been my pleasure to work with Nexreg for the last 2 years on many domestic and international jobs. They have provided my company, and my clients, with CCCR determination and other product assessments in a timely, professional and forthright manner. Their employees, such as James Dayus, have been proactive, professional and personable. I trust them to talk directly to my clients and they have never let me down on professional document completion or deadlines. They are great to work with and I wholeheartedly endorse their work.
