Aug. 12 – Canada: Flammable Fuel Gel CCCR Recalls

– Solid Fuel Products

This recall involves the following three solid burning fuels. The recalled fuels are used to generate instant clean fire for cooking in various environments and are sold in small metal containers.

Health Canada’s auditing process has revealed that the recalled products do not meet labelling requirements for consumer chemical products under Canadian law.

This lack of labelling information, including appropriate warnings, may lead to serious injury or property damage.

* Note: Two of these products contain methyl glycol which if present in a product at 1% or more (total quantity of 5mL or more) is considered Toxic under CCCR, 2001 regulations. The other product contains diethylene glycol which if present at 5% or more is Harmful under CCCR, 2001 regulations.
