Danish EPA Update

 

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has discovered that there is a lack of systematic investigation into levels of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs) in many new cars.

 

In a recent project, the EPA found that the interior in cars contain many synthetic materials, playing a big role in releasing the compounds.

 

The project found that Hyrdocarbons emit the greatest levels of volatile compounds. Potential health concerns from substances found in a cars interior includes:
