New Prop 65 Safe Harbor Regulations

 

California’s Office of Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) have now issued the new regulations for Safe Harbor under Proposition 65.

 

Taking effect on August 30, 2018, the new regulations aim to provide the consumers with more specific information about the chemicals they are buying in California.

 

Between now and August 2018, manufacturers will have two options when it comes to the new regulations. Option number one is that they can continue using the language that is required under the current safe harbor regulation, as long as the product is manufactured before August 2018. The second option is that manufacturers can start using the new warning language immediately.
