New release of R4BP 3: New version of the Registry for Biocidal Products (R4BP 3) available

This news update regarding the new release of R4BP 3 is brought to you by ECHA.

The new release of R4BP 3 allows product authorisation change requests in parallel and enhances synchronisation between related applications.

R4BP 3.2.2 allows companies to submit multiple change requests for biocidal product authorisations in parallel. Applicants will be able to submit different kinds of change requests even if their authorisation asset is already subject to an ongoing change. These changes make the registry more user-friendly since it allows, for example, companies to apply for a change of a product classification to meet the CLP deadline of 1 June 2015 for a product authorisation already subject to another change request.

The second feature concerns improved visibility and synchronisation between applications submitted for a group of assets, for example, renewals of product authorisations linked by mutual recognition. The competent authorities concerned by such group of assets will be able to better synchronise their tasks due to improved visibility of the group composition. For users, this feature will reduce the administrative work and the communication time.
