The new R4BP 3 version: ECHA releases a new version of R4BP 3

This news alert on the new R4BP 3 version is brought to you by ECHA.

The latest R4BP release improves the user interface and integrates new search functionalities. In parallel, ECHA also makes new processes available to support applications for provisional authorisations and the renewal of national authorisations subject to mutual recognition.

Helsinki, 17 June 2014 – The new R4BP 3 version (3.1.2) includes new features such as advanced search functionalities and an extended idle time for the work section.

R4BP 3 now displays the link between a biocidal product and its active substances more clearly.

ECHA has also made new processes available to cover provisional authorisations and the renewal of national authorisations subject to mutual recognition. The new processes for provisional national and Union authorisations will enable a company to request a provisional authorisation for products containing new active substances when the active substance they contain has not yet been approved.

Furthermore, a process to cover the request for the renewal of national authorisation subject to or obtained through mutual recognition has also been established implementing the delegated Regulation 492/2014 which entered into force on 4 June 2014.

The relevant R4BP 3 submission manuals have been updated with the description of the new submission processes and are available on the support page of the ECHA website.
