SDS Authoring Services Tailored to Global Compliance
Nexreg’s SDS authoring services are designed to meet the complexities of global regulatory requirements. Whether you’re a chemical manufacturer, importer, or private-label distributor, our team of regulatory experts ensure that every SDS is accurate, compliant, and customized to your product’s specifications.
Our team of chemical and regulation compliance experts will author a 16 section, GHS-compliant SDS [American National Standards Institute (ANSI) 16 section format] in the required language for use in the country of your choice. We specialize in GHS-aligned documents for OSHA, WHMIS, and REACH frameworks, ensuring your SDS meets all relevant regional mandates.
In addition to core GHS SDS authoring services, Nexreg provides region-specific solutions tailored to major jurisdictions, including the United States (OSHA HazCom 2012 and 2024 updates), Canada (WHMIS 2015/2018 and recent alignment efforts), China (GB/T 17519 and GB 30000 series), and Australia (Work Health and Safety Regulations aligned with GHS 7).
For companies distributing to multiple regions, we offer integrated multi-jurisdictional SDSs that consolidate labeling and classification elements across several GHS-aligned systems, streamlining compliance for expanded access. Our services also include SDS reviews and SDS updating, which ensure your documentation remains compliant with evolving regulations.
When to Update my SDS
Recently, Nexreg has fully incorporated the July 19th, 2024 GHS amendment, which includes critical changes in classification, labeling, and section-specific guidance, helping our clients stay ahead of shifting regulatory landscapes.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established the following transition periods:
-
For substances: Chemical manufacturers, importers, and distributors must comply with all modified provisions of the HCS no later than January 19, 2026, which is 18 months after the amendment’s effective date.
-
For mixtures: Compliance is required by July 19, 2027, providing a 36-month transition period from the effective date.
If your SDS is not compliant to the new standard by these dates, you may face OSHA citations & fines, stop-sale/stop-shipment orders or mandated corrective actions.
Do I Need An SDS?
In most countries, hazardous products used in the workplace are legally required to be supplied with a Safety Data Sheet or SDS (formerly known as a Material Safety Data Sheet or MSDS) which informs users on the safe use of dangerous substances and mixtures. Without a compliant label, products may be considered “Non-Compliant” and may not be shipped.
