National Regulations Governing SDSs

GHS for industrial chemicals has been adopted in Russia on a voluntary basis. Russian Federation Decree 1019 on Technical Regulation for Chemical Product Safety enters into force 1 July 2021.

GHS SDSs and labels are mandatory in Russia as of July 1st 2021.

Classification is based on GHS rev. 4 with some unique requirements.

GHS Implementation Status

As of July 1st 2021 GHS is now mandatory prior to this date Russia’s only partially implemented GHS.
