National Regulations Governing Labels:

Industrial chemical products are covered by the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards under the Hazardous Products Act (HPA) and the Controlled Products Regulations (CPR).

 

Additional Regulations:

Products sold/used in Quebec must comply with the Charter of the French Language, which requires all label text to be in French. Marketing text translation not included with Industrial label review but can be provided upon request.

 

GHS Implementation Status:

Canada has not yet adopted GHS standards for industrial labels.
