On March 22, 2013, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing to adopt Maximum Allowable Dose Levels (MADLs) for oral exposure for the chemicals hydrogen cyanide and cyanide salts and amending Title 27, California Code of Regulations, section 25805(b).  These chemicals were listed under Proposition 65 as known to cause reproductive toxicity (male reproductive endpoint) on July 5, 2013. The Office of Administrative Law approved the amendment to Title 27, California Code of Regulations, section 25805(b) on August 7, 2013.  The amendment was filed with the Secretary of State on August 8, 2013, and will become effective October 1, 2013.
