The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is about to finalize the deadline extensions of the formaldehyde emissions for composite wood products regulations, to match the compliance of the amended Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

 

Extensions that will soon be finalized are as followed:

 

–       The December 12, 2017 deadline for the manufactured emission standards, labelling, and recordkeeping provisions will be extended until December 12, 2018;

 

–        December 12, 2018 compliance date for the import certification provisions, which now will be due on March 22, 2019; and

 

–       The December 12, 2023 deadline for provisions applicable to the producers of laminated products will also now be extended until March 22, 2024.
