India’s parliamentary committee is looking to overhaul the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, an Act that has been implemented since 1940.
The committee believes that although the government could amend the Act that is already in place, a complete revamp would help to align India with the best global practices when it comes to, manufacturing, testing and quality standards.
India is now in talks about the proposed law.
