Sept. 20 US: US NGOs Launch Campaign Aiming Cosmetics Companies to Remove Toxic Chemicals from Products

The Breast Cancer Fund along with its partner the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics announce a national campaign challenging five major cosmetics & personal care product companies to meet or beat Johnson & Johnson’s pledge to remove carcinogens and other toxic chemicals from its baby and adult products globally.

Now, the campaign challenges Avon, Estee Lauder (maker of Clinique, MAC and Prescriptives), L’Oreal (Maybelline, Garnier, Kiehl’s, The Body Shop), Procter & Gamble (CoverGirl, Pantene, Secret, Old Spice) and Unilever (Dove, Ponds, St. Ives, Axe) to meet or beat J&J’s commitments to getting carcinogens and other toxic chemicals out of their products.
