Warm Holiday Wishes, and a Look Ahead at What’s Coming in 2026
As we close out 2025, everyone at Nexreg would like to share our warmest thanks to the people and organizations we’ve had the privilege to support this year. Regulatory work is detail-driven by nature, and we’re continually impressed by the high standards that compliance-minded teams maintain day in and day out.
Nexreg is making a charitable contribution this holiday season in honor of our clients.
We chose Water.org because access to safe water and sanitation is foundational to public health, education, and long-term community wellbeing.

Looking ahead
2026 is already shaping up to be an important year for SDS and label maintenance in the United States. OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HazCom) has been updated to better align with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Revision 7. For many manufacturers and downstream users, the practical takeaway is familiar: maintain a current SDS library, keep labels accurate, and ensure internal documentation stays aligned with how products are classified and communicated. Where these updates can become challenging is in the “in-between space”, when day-to-day document maintenance overlaps with broader regulatory shifts.
For those supplying into Canada, it’s also worth staying aware of WHMIS-related developments and Health Canada requirements that influence hazard communication expectations. The details aren’t always identical across jurisdictions, but the operational reality often is the same, staying consistent, staying current, and avoiding document drift across regions.
Nexreg developments alongside regulatory changes
A secure client portal (in development)
We’re currently developing a secure portal intended to support practical needs: document sharing and project tracking. This is still in development, and we’ll share more once it’s ready, but the goal is straightforward: create a more streamlined way to access key deliverables and view project status when needed.
Subscription-based options for ongoing compliance
Compliance isn’t static, and many organizations prefer an approach that supports continuity over time rather than one-off updates. In 2026, Nexreg is planning to introduce subscription-based payment options for companies that want ongoing compliance support. To begin, subscriptions will be available for SDSs and labels, with a focus on keeping documents renewed and updated as requirements, classifications, and product information evolve. The intent is to make sustained compliance feel more predictable, especially for teams managing recurring updates across multiple SKUs.
Enhanced automation to increase project efficiency
We’re also strengthening the systems that help projects move faster while staying consistent and quality-first. Across the compliance space, integrated platforms and automated tasking are reducing friction in routine steps, and we’re applying that mindset to improve delivery timelines and internal efficiency. In practical terms, this work supports smoother handoffs, fewer bottlenecks, and better continuity across projects.
Looking ahead, whether you’re planning for HazCom-driven updates, maintaining a mature SDS system, or simply keeping pace with evolving requirements, 2026 will reward organizations that treat document maintenance as a steady process rather than a scramble.
