Echa

Echa is going to have 107 substances evaluated by Member States in the 2018-2020 CoRAP period.

The Community Rolling Action Plan, otherwise known as CoRAP, specifies substances that will be evaluated over the course of three years. Both Echa and the Member States work together to develop a risk-based criteria to select the substances subject for CoRAP.

In the upcoming three year period, 26 substances are expected to be evaluated in 2018, 37 in the year of 2019 and 44 in 2020. The 26 substances that will be evaluated in the year of 2018 should have the dossier updates made before March 2018.

Drafts of the CoRAP includes the following information:

    • Non- confidential substance names;

    • The tentative year evaluation;

    • CAS and EC numbers;

    • Indication of the initial area for concern; and

    • The contact details of the proposed evaluating Member State.

Both Echa and Member States, looking specifically into the risk-based criteria, are preparing the list of substances. The final plan will be adopted early 2018.
