National Regulations Governing Labels:

CCCR 2001 Hazard Symbol

Consumer chemical products are covered by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations (CCCR, 2001) and Hazardous Products Act (HPA).

Nexreg’s Canadian label review follows the guidance set out in the CCCR 2001 reference manual and Canada Gazette to provide the necessary text and symbols for Canadian Compliance.

 

Additional Regulations:

The labelling of products sold in Quebec must comply with the Charter of the French Language, which requires all label text to be in French.

Marketing text translation not included with CCCR, 2001 label review but can be provided upon request.

 

GHS Implementation Status:

Canadian implementation of GHS does not apply to consumer chemical labels. Chemicals for consumer sale in Canada will continue to follow the CCCR, 2001 rules.
