From the Bureau Veritas Group:
…the European Chemicals Agency published a list of the following eleven new potential SVHC candidates. After preparing dossiers for these substances, ECHA has invited interested parties to a public consultation in which they can provide comments within a timeframe of 45 days (until 14 October 2010).
After the consultation, a decision will be made as to whether the substances will be added to the REACH Candidate list. Once on the Candidate list, producers, importers or suppliers may have communication obligations (as per Article 33 of REACH regulation) that require them to provide business clients and consumers with information on the safe use of any product containing the SVHC that exceeds 0.1% (w/w)….
