The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65 or the Act) which is codified at Health and Safety Code section 25249.5 et seq., requires the Governor to publish, and update at least annually, a list of chemicals known to the State to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity. A public forum to present oral comments and to discuss the scientific data and other information concerning whether these chemicals meet the criteria for listing set forth in Section 12306 will be scheduled only upon request. Such request must be submitted in writing no later than 30 days before the close of the comment period on Tuesday, March 25, 2008.
