National Regulations Governing Labels:

In China the standard that governs chemical consumer and workplace labels is GB 13690-2009 – General rules for classification and hazard communication of chemicals. GB 15258-2009 – General Rules for the preparation of precautionary label for chemicals goes into more detail about label requirements – specifically the compiling, preparation and application of chemical labels.

 

Additional Regulations:

In China the labeling requirements for Agrochemicals, Biocides, disinfectants and cosmetics are regulated under other legislation.

 

GHS Implementation Status:

China has adopted the UN GHS system, and it has been implemented. However, there are some differences in methodology and categories in the preparation of SDS’s and labels.
