Capitol Hill could be legislating this week with talks that the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) could be approaching a reform.

The TSCA, an Act that has not been changed in 40 years, may be moving forward to help benefit the American States. Senators Barbara Boxer (Calif.) and Jim Inhofe (Okla.) have said to have had identified key points for the TSCA reform which will largely help benefit the States. In the past it has been well-known that Boxer is a great advocate for States to have more power over the regulation of chemicals, and for the ability to allow the States act faster when a cancer cluster is detected. However, no confirmed information about the reform has been made public. More information about the reform is to come within the coming weeks.
